Joan was working with Zak to try to get him out of jail, but due to new evidence found by the prosecution, he was sentenced to jail.

Cian admitted to Joan that he passed the evidence to the prosecution.

Joan was shocked by Cian’s bitter reasons for ruining Zak’s case. Cian refused to apologize to Joan for his actions.

Joan decided not to tell Dearbhla the reason why Zak lost the case.

On Friday night, Joan and Cian clashed over his involvement in Zak’s case.

Joan made Cian an offer to leave Carrigstown. Cian argued that Joan withheld evidence against Zak from her.

Joan warned Cian that he would lose everything if he revealed anything in the CCTV footage.

In order to appease Cian, Joan encouraged Dearbhla to give him another chance.

Dearbhla told Cian that they would never get back together, calling him a mama’s boy. Cian blackmailed Joan.

Tonight Cian continued tormenting his mother and Dearbhla.

Dearbhla accused Joan of setting up Zak.

Interfering with Dearbhla and Joan’s reunion, Cian said, “I might have something to bring to the party.”

Dearbhla replied, “You are getting really pathetic” as Joan begged him not to say anything.

Cian said, “It’s about Zak and the evidence against him that has come forward.”

When Dearbhla fired him, he added, “Don’t you want to know who sold him?”

Cian pretended to confess to sending the footage to the prosecution, but backed off.

Tommy blamed himself for Zak’s mistakes.

Carol gave Tommy a word of encouragement. Tommy told Joan that jail “might be the best thing for Zak” and “might just save his life.”

Joan canceled her credit card when Cian landed in Bali.

RTE viewers praised Joan for finally standing up to her son.

Aideen said, “Finally Joan!!! Let’s hope Cian gets stuck there and that’s the last time we see him!!”

Ciara tweeted, “Ha ha good woman Joan. Jaysis…he didn’t get very far.”

William added: “Come on Joan!”


Elsewhere, Anto struggled with a gambling addiction and Sharon tried to help her husband overcome it.

On Thursday night, Sharon found out that Renee had asked her Open Letters question weeks ago.

Sharon asked Anto how long he had been stealing letters. Anto confessed to Sharon that he had been opening letters for a while.

Sharon learned that Anto owed Leo money. Tension rises between Anto and Sharon.

In the previous episode, Carol kicked Anto out of the bookies. Anto lambasted and refused to list all of his creditors for Sharon.

Tonight Anto hinted that he hasn’t stopped playing but asked Carol not to tell Sharon.

Carol tried to make Anto realize he was a drug addict, but Anto threatened to report her if she told anyone.

Anto asked Sharon to renew their wedding vows and she accepted. Sharon is out partying with her friends.

Carol had an explosive argument with Anto. Anto told her to leave and Carol said, “I’m giving the wedding six months”.


During this time, Jon was unable to secure short-term rehearsal space. Jon turned on the spell with Jane.

Despite Mondo’s apprehensions, Jon decided to use McCoy’s beer garden as a rehearsal space.

Jane was furious when she caught Jon and Alex rehearsing in the beer garden.

Tonight, Jane called Jon “pathetic” as he tried to fix his mistake before Hayley found out.
